Welcome to the Fairies!

The Fairies is an enchanting, magical fantasy, that has been brought to life over the past 15 years with 78 TV episodes, 11 DVD specials, more than 160 songs, books, toys, costumes and accessories and countless live concerts and appearances.

In 2016, The Fairies are presenting fan-fairy-tastic concerts in Victoria, NSW, Queensland and SA, a brand new show called “Let’s Party”. Full of brilliant songs and dances, the concerts are such a TREAT for children.

In pretty shades of pink, this live-action, musical series for preschoolers introduces two beautiful fairies, Harmony and Rhapsody. The Fairies explore Fairyland through play and adventure with their days full of magic, friends, giggles, singing and dancing and of course, fan-fairy-tastic fun!

Fairyland is just brimming full of fan-fairy-tastic friends, so dust off your wings, wave your wand, and start getting to know them a little better! There’s the pretty purple fairy Harmony and her best friend, Rhapsody (who is always in pink)! Then we meet the yellow and black striped bee, Barnaby the Bizzy Buzzy Bee; their all-dancing, cake cooking friend, Elf the Fairy Cake Maker, and of course the ever perplexed Wizzy the Wizard (who never gets his spells right).

Friends drop in from time to time – we meet Bubbles the Beach Fairy and Twinkle the Tooth Fairy, and of course the Tots (young fairies and elves in training); Melody, Jingles, Treble, Acorn and Buttercup. So many friends and so much fun in Fairyland!

Let's meet the Fairies!

Rhapsody is the pink fairy, and pink is her favourite colour.

As her name suggests, Rhapsody is an expression of ecstatic and excitable enthusiasm! Her bubbly personality is expressed constantly via her always smiling, cheeky face.

Best friend of Harmony, Rhapsody is very giggly and bouncy and easily excitable. She is very impulsive, often rushing in before she thinks (trying to fly out of the Snuggery still in her fairy nightie!)

Rhapsody is not a “home-body” like Harmony – although she realises cleaning has to be done, it’s certainly not her favourite thing to do – not when she could be flying, dancing, singing …. oh so many other options……

Rhapsody often defers to Harmony to come up with an idea, and is always grateful that her friend is usually able to find the perfect solution.

Her silver and pink wand shines and sparkles and allows her to create enchanting fairy magic. She, too, adores the three Tots and especially loves singing and dancing with them.

Her pink fairy dress is a perky, ballerina-style of skirt – pretty and bouncy, perfectly topped with a beautiful bodice, the favourite colour of little girls – pink, pink, pink! Sparkly and shimmery, her dress is complemented by pink fairy slippers. Delicate flowers encircle her long, dark, wavy hair and complete the look of sheer beauty and fantasy.

Hharmony21armony is the purple fairy, and purple is her favourite colour.

The more practical fairy, Harmony often has to calm down her excitable best friend, Rhapsody. She is pretty, clever and very considerate of others, and has a very wise and a logical approach to solving the daily challenges in a fairy’s life. Harmony is the “ideas fairy”.

Harmony loves order in her life, in the Snuggery and in Fairyland. A clean space is important to her, but she knows you can make jobs more fun if you sing while you work.

She adores the three Tots in her care – Melody, Jingles and Treble, and takes great delight in giving them lessons, helping them with fun games and rewarding their efforts.

Harmony loves to sing and dance and it’s often through song that she will explain a situation, brighten the day, unfold a mystery or solve a puzzle.

She is graced with a dazzling smile, sparkling eyes, flowing, wavy blonde hair entwined with dainty, pretty flowers.

Her beautiful dress is made of a number of layers of purple, laden with sparkles and glitter. It twirls and swirls beautifully when she dances, with a sweet bodice and pretty capped sleeves. Harmony’s dress enables her magical dancing steps to be totally appreciated by the preschool audience.

Harmony’s silver and jewelled mask adds to her gorgeous ethereal, pretty look. Magnificently crafted by a designer jeweller, the fairies masks are delicate, feminine and very pretty, perfectly matching their sparkly silver wands.

Petite, hand-crafted purple fairy shoes, adorned with dainty flowers are perfect to dance in all day long, and their fluttering fairy wings complete an outfit that will delight and mesmerise children.

twinkle_new1Twinkle the Tooth Fairy has her very own fairy song, and by reading the words of this song, you’ll be able to find out all about our golden, beautiful fairy, Twinkle.

When children lose a baby tooth
A fairy comes and visits soon
She takes the tooth to light the sky
Then leaves a shiny coin behind

With the tooth she flies so high
Up and away into the sky
Then gently sets the tooth so bright
Into the sky to shine at night

And do you know this fairy’s name
Who’s sparkly gold and merry
It’s Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle
Twinkle the Tooth Fairy

So you know this fairy’s name
Who’s sparkly gold and merry
It’s Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle
Twinkle the Tooth Fairy

On starry nights the fairies play
With twinkling stars to show the way
They sing and dance under the sky
With children’s teeth like fairy lights

Thank you for your tooth so white
That’s helping make the sky so bright
Up in the velvet sky tonight
The tooth will twinkle like a light

So now you know this fairy’s name
Who’s sparkly gold and merry
It’s Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle
Twinkle the Tooth Fairy

So now you know this fairy’s name
Who’s sparkly gold and merry
It’s Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle
Twinkle the Tooth Fairy
It’s Twinkle, Twinkle, Twinkle
Twinkle the Tooth Fairy

minuet2-1Fairy Princess Minuet teaches other fairies, elves and other magical friends to dance in her Fairyland Dance Studio.

Her tutu is white with marshmallow-pink swirls. On her feet she wears pointe shoes – these are very special and allow her to dance on her tippie toes.’

Fairy Princess Minuet loves to say “Princess Perfect” when everything is just as perfect as could be.

Before Fairy Princess Minuet dances she always remembers her dancing manners.’

“Sitting pretty

Nice straight back

Legs are crossed

Hands in my lap

Turning on my listening ears

Turning on my watching eyes

Turning off my talking tongue

Three claps and we’re ready!

Fairy one

Fairy two

Fairy three”

bubbBubbles the Beach Fairy is a very pretty fairy dressed in a sparkling blue dress, the very same colour as the ocean.

Bubbles lives on Fairy Beach, a pretty little cove with soft white sand and bright blue water that laps gently at the beach.

Dancing on the beach with the waves rolling in
Smell the ocean air so crisp and clean
Lovely soft sand underneath my feet
There’s nowhere better than fairy beach

I love the beach the best place in the world
It’s the best, best place in the world
I love the beach the best place in the world
It’s the best, best place in the world

Lots of things to see and things to do
Surfing and swimming and splashing too
Get your whole body wet or just your toes
On Fairy Beach, anything goes

I love the beach the best place in the world
It’s the best, best place in the world
I love the beach the best place in the world
It’s the best, best place in the world

If swimming’s not your thing – you just want to play
There’s pirate games and treasure hunting every day
Or make the biggest sandcastle you’ve ever seen
Fairy Beach – the coolest place to be yeah!

Lots of animals they share the beach
Some on the land and some in the sea
We respect them all and let them be
Cause everybody’s friends on fairy beach

I love the beach the best place in the world
It’s the best, best place in the world
I love the beach the best place in the world
It’s the best, best place in the world

wizzy_2Wizzy the Wizard is from a planet called Wizzle Gazzelles and his introduction to Fairyland was through Elf the Fairy Cake Maker, whom he met at a spell school.

Wizzy is an extremely flamboyant character who always provides great comic relief whenever he is in Fairyland.

Whenever Wizzy arrives by magic, he arrives somewhere strange (and very funny!). On top of the mushroom, in a patch of flowers, hanging upside down from the swing, and his standard line when he lands is “Oh Whizzaling Weeblies – I do need to practise my landings!”

Wizzy believes in his heart he is a very good spell maker and magician, however unfortunately his spells usually take a few hilarious tries before they deliver! He will often produce something a bit strange and cause his audience to giggle and laugh. Wizzy, although generally mystified at the spells not working, always takes his friends’ laughter in good humour and is capable of laughing at himself.

He does quite a bit of perplexed head-scratching, wondering where on earth he went wrong, however he always seems to get it right in the end – one way or another!

Whereas the other characters are quite “organic” in look – Wizzy is definitely a space age hero! The only character not from the garden, he is dressed in a silver “space-suit” topped with his flowing, elegant, glossy, purple velvet cape scattered with silver stars across his shoulders and lined with a rainbow mass of vibrant technicolour, that flows and swooshes in glorious ripples.

His long purple boots and his fabulous belt are adorned with the initials “WW” that is “Wizzy the Wizard”, and his purple, regal wizard’s hat looks truly magnificent.

elf_2Elf The Fairy Cake Maker is a young adult cake-making elf, quite slight of build, with pointy elf ears, renowned across all of Fairyland and beyond for his exceptional recipes and culinary talents.

Elf lives close to The Fairies and his flower pot kitchen is in the midst of Fairyland. He cooks up a storm whenever there is a celebration and Tricky Treats are his speciality.

He is an energetic, positive, happy character who makes the most of every situation, looking on the bright side of life and is never without a smile.

Elf is constantly bounding into fairyland displaying his agile and acrobatic form, often breaking into fabulous cartwheels, handstands, back flips or a tap dance routine. Elf’s performance has pronounced hand movements and is cheeky and energetic.

The Tricky Treats he so often cooks, cannot to be found in the ‘real’ world – they are fun foods that cause amazing reactions to the eater! From Jumping Jellicoes that will make you jump around; to Giggling Google Buns, making the eater giggle uncontrollably; Hopping Chocolates are as their name suggests and Shimmy Star Seeds, that will make you shimmy dance. Of course, then there’s the Burping Bliss Buns, which might make you… well, Burp!

Elf’s costume has been magnificently created with a hint of garden embedded. Gentle shades of gold, brown and green, it is organic yet sprightly and has fantastic movement, shown to full effect with the gymnastic, dancing Elf! His hat is made of a gentle green felt, and his darker green pointy shoes are as elfin as one could possibly imagine.

barn1-1Barnaby The Bizzy Buzzy Bee is a slightly eccentric, quite frenetic, extremely lovable and huggable Bee, who makes honey for all his friends in Fairyland.

He provides a lot of humour whenever he is on screen. Barnaby lives in a honeycomb, close to Fairyland).

Barnaby’s walk and dance is a bit frenetic – slightly eccentric and muddled.

He often buzzes around like he’s a bit confused – the other characters often say “Slow down, Barnaby, you’re buzzing around like a bizzy buzzy bee!” and his reply is always “Well that’s because I AM a bizzy buzzy bee!”

Barnaby’s main job is to collect sweet nectar to make his yummy honey. He has a little sweet nectar collecting bag, which he slings over his shoulder.

Barnaby has a yellow and black striped undersuit, topped with a lustrous black velvet jacket and pants; fluffy yellow boots (perfect for collecting sweet nectar) and a very “bee-like” hat with bouncy antennae.
